"The only basic technology we need, so that the planet permits a sustainable humanity, is to
restore its biomass skin" - Paolo Lugari
One Hundred Trees is dedicated to improving communities and restoring the biomass skin of the earth by planting 100,000 trees by 2013. So far in 2011 we have taken ACTION on planting 5000 trees, nearly half way to our 2011 goal of 11,000.
Through EDUCATION in our presentations we are sharing the story of Gaviotas, Colombia, a community changed by the forest they planted, demonstrating that sustainable communities are not only possible, but may not be that difficult to create.
We formed this ORGANIZATION because our lives have changed and our community is changing from hearing this story. We want to share the story with you.
